On the Road to the NORTH---->

(Left to right:Uncle Conrad, Grandma Tammie, Mom, Kaelyn, Day-Day, and Dad)z
(X-mas 2008)
Merry Christmas to YOU ALL!!!! I know its a day late but we have been very very busy. Where do I even begin, we started our journey on Friday after David got out of work and headed to Green Bay, WI. My mom lives there so we wanted to go see her. We arrived on Saturday morning in the FREEZING CRAPPY SNOW. David and I have decided we will never come up North in the winter for holidays to see family. If the family wants to see us, come SOUTH! :) I got my car stuck in the snow bank on Saturday night, it was awful. I had to help push it and it was freezing. I thought literally my hand were going to fall off. Little David had fun in the snow though. It was so wonderful to see my mom and brother Conrad. I miss my mom so much, so when i see her its GREAT! This has been a very nice Christmas so far. The kids and I got lots from my mom and their Uncle Conrad. From a cooker for us to the kids getting a cabbage patch doll for Kaelyn and v-tech computer for David. Plus lots of more goodies. The roads were so icy that we couldn't even make it to Escanaba to see all the rest of my family :(. It sucked but theirs always ----them coming to see us!!! :) Wish we could see you all more! I love you mom, had a wonderful time with you!! See you soon. Until next time...

One of many...

left to right: Little David, Daddy, Papa, Grandma, Auntie Katie, Kaelyn, and Mommy
(XMAS 2008)

Tonight, was the first of many... We went to my in laws and celebrated Xmas tonight. Had a wonderful chicken and all the fixings, yummy chocolate pie, PRESENTS, and spending time as a family which was well needed. It was great just getting together as a big family which we haven't been able to do with every ones job and so forth. It was the first Xmas that we all have been together well kind of. I am sure all my blogger stalkers are tired of Check Spellinghearing it about first everything. But, its a military life. Little David knows what the P word is "PRESENTS." It was so funny. My mother says David you need to save some energy for after dinner so you can open Presents. Oh boy by golly he shot like a bat out of hell to get to them, ha ha. Well we ate dinner and all gathered around the tree and began. It was funny, with Kaelyn getting so excited with the wrapping paper and to David opening a box with clothes in it saying, "Oh man... " in such a disgusted voice. We all laughed so hard, typical child. LOL. Katie, David, Kaelyn, Big David, and I got much more than we needed. Thank you all so so much for everything. It was a Christmas we won't forget. We had alot of fun at the house tonight. I think we are a tad bit spoiled. :) Love you guys. Eh' isn't that why they love us so much!! I was super excited about my Christmas clock to my Steam mop. I can NOT wait to use it. The kids got so much stuff from books from auntie Katie and a ball pit that mind you my husband ended up popping the last one she got them last year cause he would play in it! I love you David for still being a child and having fun with your kiddos! Well I am super stoked at all our cool things! I need to head to bed, long day ahead of us... Until next time, I wish you all a VERY VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS from us SANDERS'

'Sugar Cookies'

Tonight was SO SO SO fun!!! Well all four of us ended up in the kitchen and little David was such a helper. Kaelyn was even able to help and make the cookies. All three of them even licked the mixers. I believe little David ate more dough, frosting, and sprinkles than helping. Lol, it was a blast!!!! Its a start of a Sanders' tradition. I wanted to share some of our memorable pictures with you all!!!!! If you want to see the picture bigger click on the picture and it should blow up. We wish you a all a very Merry Christmas soon. I am so glad I am not nuts like my best friend Kayce and mother in law who every time I talk to them they are still shopping....aaahhhh, NUTS! I am getting excited for Christmas. Santa and I wrapped all the gifts for our lovely kiddos today. It was fun. FYI- WE ARE NOT GOOD WRAPPERS, HORRIBLE ONES AT THAT! We should pay someone to come wrap every year for us.... hhmmm, that sounds like a good idea! Well until next time...

Gingerbread House Kit

(Dec 2008)

Well our Sunday night was fun! We started it off by making David's 1st gingerbread house!!! It was very funny, he would eat the candy before putting it on his house. eewww... is right! :) It was a fun filled family night! Its getting closer and closer to time for Santa!!! I am getting more excited. All the shopping is finished for the kids! Thank goodness. Well figured I would share some pictures with you!!! Also, a song I LOVE AT CHRISTMAS TIME... I don't think so many grandmas love it by I will share my humor!!! Until next time...

Grandma got run over by a reindeer.
Walking home from our house Christmas eve.
You can say there's no such thing as Santa,
but as for me and grandpa we believe.
She'd been drinking too much eggnog,
and we begged her not to go.
But she forgot her medication, and she
staggered out the door into the snow.
When we found her Christmas morning,
at the scene of the attack,
she had hoof-prints on her forehead,
and incriminating Claus marks on her back.
Now we're all so proud of grandpa,
He's been taking this so well.
See him in there watching football,
drinking root beer and
playing cards with Cousin Mel.
It's not Christmas without Grandma,
All the family's dressed in black
and we just can't help but wonder:
Should we open up her gifts,
or send them back?
Send them back!!
Now the goose is on the table
and the pudding made of fig
and the blue and silver candles
that would just have matched
the hair on grandma's wig.
I've warned all my
friends and neighbors
better watch out for yourselves,
they should never give a license
to a man who drives a sleigh
and plays with elves.

Santa Claus is Coming to Town...

Well Thursday night the kids and I ran to the mall, looking for Christmas gifts for everyone! After riding the carousel like 1000 times we finally agreed to see Santa. I didn't know how David or Kaelyn would do. I was in shock! Little David was like no, mommy. :) Kaelyn was all smiles and spitting on him. She is camera happy so I think that's why she didn't care what or who was holding her as long as that camera was on her. David was like lets go mom, lets go mom. He was scared of him. I thought it would be the opposite. The only way I was able to get a picture with Santa with the kids if I got in the picture to. Please disregard the pic of me. I was not even planning on a picture and was talking to David while she was taking it. "so its not the greatest but a keepsake!" Well Friday was pretty much a lounge day in out pj's. It was nice let me tell you! Saturday my mother in law and I were qualified in a contest to WIN 1000.00 dollars to the mall. So we had to go to the mall by 10:45. ah... mall= annoying on the weekends! Well only 22 people showed up so our odds should have been pretty good. ugh WRONG. As you see I didn't win, otherwise i would be to busy out shopping. Bob and Sherri from the morning show were there. Ha ha, by the way Sherri thinks our little girl is just so cute and loves her cheeks. Oh by the way about her cheeks, this little boy was standing by Kaelyn in the stroller while his brother rode the carousel and says she has chipmunk cheeks, lol. I laughed. The mom was like i am so sorry ma'am. I really didn't think anything of it besides it was funny! So we just tried to shop but not really had lunch there and went and had dinner at the in laws. Decided to get home because I believe our chipmunk baby has ANOTHER yes I did say ANOTHER earache. If she is not better by tomorrow she is headed to the clinic on Monday. Ur.... poor thing. She has been really fussy lately and she has a tooth coming in but I just blamed it on the teeth. Well I am sure its a mix of a tooth and earache. She is pulling at them things like gold! She just had a double ear infection a month ago. I get this feeling she will be like little David and need tubes. Well its 8:30 and both kids are out like bugs!! PHEW... I am head to bed after catching up on my soaps... :) yea, I am old! Until next time...

"SANTA CLAUS IS COMING TO TOWN"

You better watch out

You better not cry

Better not pout

I'm telling you why

Santa Claus is coming to town

He's making a list,

And checking it twice;

Gonna find out

Who's naughty and nice.

Santa Claus is coming to town

He sees you when you're sleeping

He knows when you're awake

He knows if you've been bad or good

So be good for goodness sake

!O!You better watch out!

You better not cry.

Better not pout,

I'm telling you why.

Santa Claus is coming to town.

Santa Claus is coming to town.

Toothy Thursday

Well the kids took a bath today! I kept telling Kaelyn to smile so I could get a picture of her tooth! Well I was able to pull it off. Well on the other hand I couldn't leave David out so I had him show me and I got a cute picture of him smiling! :) Wow, I love these two boogers so much! They are so funny in the tub. Well until next time...

"SO SO PROUD"

(DEC 2008)

OK, as a mom I am SO SO PROUD of our child! I am sure every mom has that moment. Not the same feeling with every mom though. Well lets share mine, today Little David wanted to color in his coloring book. Well we get the crayons and coloring book out and I only give him four crayons because one time my cousin made a mistake and gave him the whole box of crayons and colored all over my grandma's khaki color carpet, ugh yea. :) So he is only allowed a few at a time. Well he names off everything on Mickey Mouse (ex: hands, shoes, ears, tree, etc.). So he starts coloring and granted he is ONLY 2. Just turned 2 in August colored this picture all by himself. :) I never helped him at all! I am so amazed. I mean every child colors cute, but i am just so amazed how perfect this picture is!! He was like, "mom, look at my picture mickey mouse cold." ha ha. He sat at the table concentrating so hard on this! I am so happy that he was so proud of his picture I wanted to share it all with my readers!!! He is growing up so fast.

I better not leave Kaelyn out, she is getting her second tooth. The tooth should be through the gum by this weekend. Today, she became an official Gamecocks Fan, thanks to Kayce and Jason for the shirt! :) The family is all doing wonderful. Nothing really new except Christmas is coming and we are counting down the days til Santa comes to the house which is---23 days away. ahhh... that's nuts. Well until next time...

Pictures from Turkey Day!

Well as you all know I am very behind on blogging. Sorry I am slacking. I am way to busy trying to win things on the radio with my crazy mother in law. :) Well Thanksgiving this year was different for the part that DAVID WAS HOME! Finally to celebrate a holiday that means a lot to me!! It was wonderful. Little David didn't make it long enough to eat with all of us, he ended up falling asleep on the floor. We sat around and lounged and watched t.v. It was nice all together though. I wanted to share some pictures with you all above.

Gobble Gobble Gobble

Happy Thanksgiving to you all! I am so thankful for everything in my life! One main thing is our healthy children that David and I have! I am so thankful David came home from Iraq safe and sound after a long long deployment. I am thankful for having wonderful moms and dads! I am thankful for all our trusted good friends and family! The list will go on and on... Hope you all have a wonderful day and make a one you won't forgot!

OK, one more thing I wanted to share with you: You all get very tired and sleepy after turkey and everyone naps! Well I have your answer why because I know some of you wonder why...

L-Tryptophan and the Turkey
The turkey is often cited as the culprit in after dinner lethargy, but the truth is that you could omit the bird altogether and still feel the effects of the feast. Turkey does contain
L-tryptophan, an essential amino acid with a documented sleep inducing effect.

Well I was searching on the Internet this morning, and I found this funny poem! Read on if you all know my husband this is him ---ha ha!

When Daddy Carves the Turkey
When Daddy carves the turkey,It is really quite a sight,I know he tries his hardest,But he never does it right.
He makes a fancy show of it,Before he starts to carve,And stabs in all directions,While we're certain that we'll starve.
He seems to take forever,As we sit and shake our heads,By the time he's finished slicing,He's reduced the birds to shreds.
He yells as loud as thunder,Just before he's finally through For when Daddy carves the turkey,Daddy carves his finger too!

Pictures for you all:

Here's some pictures to get through this morning on a delightful day called THANKSGIVING! Kaelyn and David are playing 'Lets Go Fishing.' It was so cute and funny, I had to share with you all how precious our babies are. I know its cute now, until their older fighting over the game! Until next time...

Happy 3rd Anniversary, Love

Loving Pair
It takes two special people,To make a loving pair. There’s a joy just being around you,A feeling I/we love to share.
So best anniversary wishes to you,Bringing years of joy and fun.May each year keep getting better,I/we hope the good times have just begun.

"I LOVE YOU"

Well Sunday was our 3rd year Anniversary! WOW, where does the time go. I seriously cannot believe that its been that long already. We had a great day! Since we are always together and we were at the Smoaks' house he woke up at like 5:30 a.m. in the morning and made me a surprise homemade card! It was really sweet. It is to mushy mushy for you all to hear! :) I love him so much even though sometimes I wanna go crazy and pull my hair out. I look at it this way, if a couple NEVER fights something is wrong. You have to have your little disagreement's every once in a while. We have been through a lot in the past 3 years, here's a list: 2 pregnancies, 16 month deployment away 2 Xmas's, 2 thanksgiving, 2 anniversary's, 1 birthday, 2 v-days, army getting in the way of important things in our lives, Little Davids first everything, and so much more. As that list shows you its been alot. We do drive each other nuts some weeks, but oh well its all worth having each other! We have such an amazing family now sticking together STRONG through thick and thin!! I look forward to MANY MANY more anniversary's!

"I love you David ALWAYS AND FOREVER AND FOREVER AND ALWAYS"

Smoaks Engagement Party

If you have not heard, Kayce and Jason are the Future Smoaks' . March 2010 is the future "save the date" I am so excited. Their wonderful friends of ours and are one of the greatest couple of friends that deserve each other! We wish them all the luck from here on out with everything and they have our blessings!! We went to Charleston late late Friday night after David got off work. So we really had no option of doing anything that night. Saturday we had a busy day! Woke up and went and tried on bridesmaids dresses on while Bride to be tried on her GORGEOUS dress, I cant wait to see her in on the big day! Lunch with Kayla and Kayce. Went back to Kayce's played the Wii of course for a couple hours! At 5:30 their awesome party had began! It was very interesting hanging out with civilians. I haven't done that in a long time. I am so use to the military friends and family we hang out with. It was a great party put on from their friends. I FORGOT TO MENTION: THEY HAD THE BEST HOME MADE BBQ, oysters, shrimp, and more!!! It was wonderful! I will post some pictures of our evening at the end. Sunday was busy, Kayce has started her business and its popping with pictures! We went with her to a shoot to Magnolia Plantation which was fun! Lunch, we went and home sweet home. No time do anything out the blue. Until next time...

Weekend Recap:

"Splish Splash I was taking a bath"
Kaelyn and David took a bath Friday night together! Little David enjoys it now because Kaelyn can sit all alone in the tub and play with him now... (she is growing up to fast :() We took the kids out the bath and ended the night with a movie and popcorn night with the kids!

Saturday night was game night!
Daddy and David playing Let's Go Fishing while Kaelyn plays with her fish in her walker and also watches on the couch!

Well Sunday, we decided to put up our Sanders' Christmas tree! Reason for putting it up a couple weeks early I am sure you all are wondering is, we have lots going on in the next few weeks we would like to prep for Santa early! To fill you all in, this will be the 1st Xmas with daddy. He has been deployed for the past two Xmas.It is sure a blessing he is home and able to spend it with us this year! I was really shocked in myself this year for wanting to put the tree up early because I kept the tree up for a whole 8 or 9 months thinking David was coming home to celebrate it with us last year!As you all know the Army tricked us and kept him deployed for 16 months. :( Well we decided as a family we would put it up early for the kids and the way our plans look til Xmas. Guess what?! The kids, David, and I all had fun! It was so funny because we played a movie while getting the tree and ornaments out. Little David was a little confused because this year he actually is old enough to realize all whats going on. Well big David got the tree and ornaments out and we started putting it all together. It was cute, little David was such a big help. Kaelyn was such a humor. She was so talkative and I think she also enjoyed it all! When we put the lights on the tree both of the kids just stared at the tree. As I am sad to say... Little David says, "Mom, look at tree good job!" with his thumb up. What a tear breaker. OUR 2 YEAR OLD IS GROWING UP.... his vocabulary is expanding day by day. Looking at Kaelyn and all of brought back so many memories of us when we were all children getting ready for the big day of PRESENTS! Its nice that our family is growing but sad our babies our growing. I don't regret nothing in life. They are such happiness and joy! David and I love them so much. Its so nuts how you never had kids before and then have them and think you could love them as much as you do. :) I took some pics of our Xmas decorating and a couple other goofy pics! As you see the one in the top left---David wearing a hat, reindeer ears, stockings, and Xmas pj's! It was so funny! Baby Nay Nay was so funny taking silly pics with us! Little David and Kaelyn played on the floor by the tree in the spirits of Santa coming soon!! I can't forgot to tell you all Little David started the tradition of putting the star on top! It was so cute. Well that was our fabulous weekend. Hope you all enjoyed yours as much as I did!! I will post pictures soon of our Sanders' tree, but a couple more finishing touches!! Until next time...

No plans, as of now but who knows we could change that at any spur of the moment. I can't wait for next weekend. Lots to celebrate--- Kayce and Jason's Engagement party, our 3rd year anniversary*, and a wonderful family members birthday Ms. Madeline. We won't tell how old you are just keeping sweeping and win lots!! Maybe you will even win big on your big day! Looking forward to the next weekend. Thanks to the in laws they will be taking good care of our munchkins for us while we celebrate! Better get going to laundry, until next time...
